A certain quantity of cards is dealt to each player, & the remaining cards make up the draw pile. For players to declare their hand, they must form a minimum of one valid set or sequence. Three or more cards of the same suit in a row make up a sequence, whereas three or four cards of the same rank but different suits make up a set.
