Though they are effective tools, jokers should only be used sparingly. If holding onto a joker for an extended period of time keeps you from meldinsatta/kingg other cards in your hand, it could be dangerous. Using jokers early in the game is usually preferable since they can help you build a solid foundation for your melds. Also, keep an eye on the number of jokers being used; if several players are doing so, melding competition may get intense.
