Usually, a standard 52-card deck is used. Depending on the variant being played, each player is dealt a certain number of cardsruumy, typically between seven and thirteen. With one card face-up to begin the discard pile, the remaining cards form a draw pile. In order to make valid combinations & get rid of unwanted cards, players alternately draw cards from the draw or discard pile.
