Overview of the Gameplay. Each player starts the game with a certain number of cards dealt to them, and the remainimemory slotsng cards are arranged in a draw pile. In order to strengthen their hands by creating melds and reducing deadwood—unmatched cards that don't contribute to any melds—players alternately draw from the draw pile or the discard pile.
